Painting with acrylics on wood or stretched paper, this workshop aims to introduce a way of working that explores their potential for saturated colour and their immediacy. My early training was as a designer of stained glass windows and this has informed my own approach. Previous experience with acrylics is not necessary. This workshop should provide an ideal opportunity for all those participating to develop a working method that avoids some of the pitfalls of working in this medium.

Equipment & materials
- either stretched paper or a small panel of wood - a rectangle of pine shelving is ideal, though any wood will do.
- a selection of acrylic paints
- a selection of brushes
- a container for water & a mixing palette - a plate or a small plastic tray will do.
Everything else necessary will be provided.
