Combining modern facilities with the best features of the original building, the office suites provide a pleasant and convenient working environment offering all the benefits of a central location; an all-inclusive rate with flexible terms; and access to well-equipped meeting rooms and training space.

The Studio at The Slade Centre can accommodate up to 50 people, and is ideal for training events and seminars, or private parties and receptions. The more formal Board Room seats up to 12 people around a large table, making it well-suited to business meetings and presentations. Smaller meeting rooms are also available.

The Slade Centre offers a range of weekly classes and one-day workshops. Regular weekly classes include Painting and Drawing; Tai Chi; Yoga; Pilates and more.

One-day and half-day workshops in a wide range of art and craft techniques offer the opportunity to try something new, or to take an existing skill or interest to a more advanced level.

All classes are taught by experienced and enthusiastic tutors. Further details can be found on the Classes and Workshops page or by clicking below.

The generous spaces, abundance of natural light and central location make The Slade Centre an ideal setting in which to enjoy some of the very best contemporary art in the area. Featuring works from artists locally and further afield, exhibitions take place several times a year. The mixed group shows are always exciting and diverse, while solo shows allow an in-depth exploration of the featured artist's work.

Spring brings a full and varied exhibition programme to The Slade Centre. The season opens at the end of February with a showcase exhibition of painting, sculpture and more by members of WeSCA otherwise known as Wessex Contemporary Arts. This is followed at the end of March by a short exhibition which features work by four ‘A’ Level students from Gillingham School, and David Marl returns with new work after Easter.

Further details of the exhibitions with dates and opening times can be found on the Exhibitions and Projects page.
