Located in the centre of Gillingham in North Dorset, The Slade Centre combines
business and the arts, offering a range of facilities from office suites and
meeting rooms to art classes and exhibition space.

 

Floor to ceiling glass walls with integral blinds maintain a sense of light and space, while providing privacy when required   A felt making class   Dorset Art Weeks 2000 - a mixed group exhibition signposting artists in North Dorset  
 


Combining the best features of the original building with modern facilities, the office suites provide a pleasant and convenient working environment. Meeting Rooms are also available. The Studio can accommodate up to 50, and is ideal for training events and seminars, private parties and wedding receptions. The more formal Board Room seats up to 12 around a large table, making it well-suited to business meetings and presentations.

 


Regular weekly classes and one-day workshops offer expert tuition in painting, drawing, printmaking, felt making and a wide range of textile techniques.

Visiting teachers offer Tai Chi and Yoga classes.

 


The Studio at The Slade Centre hosts periodic exhibitions of contemporary art and acts as a base for visual arts projects in the area.

From Sticks to Stone opens on Saturday 27October. Organised by RAIR and featuring work by artists inspired by their rural environment.

 

Office Suites are currently available. The light and airy 1/2 person offices all enjoy views of The Square and the High Street beyond.

Join regular weekly classes at any time - Tai Chi and Chi Kung classes on Monday mornings, and Art Classes on Wednesday mornings. Yoga classes starting soon.
